Amy Nykoluk grew up in a small town in southern Manitoba, where she developed her love and knowledge of nature, music, art, culture, and people. Along with studying science at the University of Winnipeg, Amy also spent time playing piano and guitar, exploring various types of dance, painting and backpacking around many parts of the world, furthering her love of history and culture.

During a trip to China, Amy became fascinated by a collection of ancient healing modalities called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Intrigued by the mystery, theory, history and overwhelming popularity of TCM in China, Amy began to feel very drawn to this holistic preventative medicine. After witnessing the powerful effects acupuncture had on a close family member following a motor vehicle accident, Amy decided to move to Calgary and begin her journey becoming a doctor Traditional Chinese Medicine.

During her four years of study, Amy perfected the art of acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tui Na massage, auricular therapy, cupping and diet therapy, and completed a practicum in a TCM Hospital in Mianyang, China. After becoming a government registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese medicine, and a licensed professional acupuncturist, Amy has developed a strong knowledge in successfully diagnosing and treating a wide range of disease and pain in the body, including digestive, dermatological and musculoskeletal issues.

Over the past 10 years of practicing acupuncture in Calgary, Amy has specialized in treating skin conditions, harnessing the power of TCM to treat a wide range of issues, like acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.
